Crawl Space by Jesse Jacobs

In the basement, through the appliances and past the veil that separates realities, lies a rainbowhued world where a group of kids have found retreat from their suburban mundanity with a coterie of iridescent creatures. But in the fraught realm of adolescence, can friendship survive the appeal of the surreal?

Canadian cartoonist Jesse Jacobs draws comics that aren't always able to be understood. His narratives are experimental yet rewarding. His art is fluid, detailed and engaging. The hardest part to understand is just how someone could take a pencil to paper and come up with the vivid, incredible creations present in all of his books.

Jesse Jacobs is a talented Canadian cartoonist whose intricate works are equally inspired by majestic nature and detailed technology. His most recent book Crawl Space (published by Koyama Press, Toronto, March 2017) explores a psychedelic alternate dimension hidden inside a suburban home's washing machine.

Jesse Jacobs: Crawl Space
