Nicolas Buechi (Zurich, *1982) explores in his exhibition FUTURE COME SAVE ME
a feeling that had a deep effect to his life. Like the impact of a meteor, it left a mark, triggered off by being surrounded by like-minded people, skateboarding, exploring subcultures all over europe and the impressive interconnectivity of the DIY skateboard culture.
Nicolas Buechi shows in this exhibition abstract photography in black and white, overlain with drawings as of pieces of a meteor. Most of the risography or silkscreen prints are set up in a edition of 5. In a translated sculpture of a meteor, the visitor is able to relate to this described feeling.
The show is accompanied by a selection of zines and prints created in recent years, like the COMPLATELY INCOMPLETE GUIDE TO AWESOME SKATEPARK, or the PIXELGIRLS, a hommage to teletext.
Nicolas Buechi (Zürich, *1982) erforscht in seiner Ausstellung FUTURE COME SAVE ME ein Gefühl, das sein Leben tief beeindruckt hat. Wie der Aufprall eines Meteoriten hinterliess es Spuren, ausgelöst durch Gleichgesinnten, skateboarding, die Erkundung von Subkulturen in ganz Europa und die beeindruckende Vernetzung der DIY-skateboard culture.
Nicolas Buechi zeigt in dieser Ausstellung abstrakte Photographien in schwarz-weiss, überlagert mit Zeichnungen von Meteorstücken. Die meisten Risographien oder Siebdrucke wurden in einer Auflage von 5 Exemplaren hergestellt. In einer übersetzten Skulptur eines Meteoriten kann sich der Besucher auf dieses beschriebene Gefühlt beziehen.
Die Ausstellung wird von einer Auswahl an in den letzten Jahren entstandenen Zines und Prints begleitet, wie das COMPLATELY INCOMPLETE GUIDE TO AWESOME SKATEPARK oder das PIXELLGIRLS einer Hommage an den Teletext.
