Into Bordelism through controlled chaos
From thrusting lines to molten plastic and instinctive swipes, the 'Bordelism Exhibition' showcases a disorganised and stylishly cut of nothingness.
Criticizing in his own way our everyday world through sheer muscle and his not-so-loving-eyes, Silio Durt knows how to show us the staggering reality behind bottomless pits of information and horrible human action through his ever hallucinated experimental subjects.
A generous flow, a violent aesthetic, all in one mind, set on shining a light on the lost souls of our lives. Thus between dark and wrong, Silio Durt offers us a joyful ode to frenzy : Frantic coloring. Purulent dribbling. Extreme splashing. Set between what's right and what's beautiful.
There's no point on creating calm where there is havoc.

Du Bordélisme à l'ordonnance du Chaos
Entre fulgurances des lignes, magmas plastiques et gestes spontanés, l'exposition bordélisme met en exergue cinq années de désorganisation, de travail de sape et de valorisation du rien.
En accompagnant ses figures hallucinées d'une philosophie du muscle et d'une critique des éléments offerts dans la lecture quotidienne du monde, Silio Durt révèle l'univers de l'en-deçà, les strates inavouables qui émanent des exactions de chacun et de l'accumulation des informations quotidiennes.
Les faits sociétaux sont détournés afin de mettre en lumière, dans un flux généreux, une esthétique agressive ; une pensée en mouvement placée au service des êtres désaxés. Enfin, un bestiaire provocateur et enragé sort de l'atelier pour se faire l'avatar du Mongol Jovial.
Cohérent en ce qu'il a de plus violent, les moyens d'arriver à cette joyeuse décontenance sont multiples : de la tâche à la purulence des lignes, du monochrome sériel aux couleurs dégoulinantes. Silio Durt crée une ode au désordre, fluctue entre les schèmes classiques du beau et du bien ; il donne à voir un monde engagé où tout est à réinventer sous le rythme frénétique de la crise et de la décroissance.

Silio Durt (1985) is an artist based in Bruxelles. Influenced by the searches of post-war immediate by CoBra group and american school but also by the underground graphic culture, Silio Durt presents an organized mess, an explosion of pictorial matter.Thanks to a spontaneous technique, Silio Durt works around art of wild childhood. Silio Durt plays around empty space and the absence of lines to restore the material's rights. He offers a direct and accessible picture. An ode to the plastic and organic research.
