"Fragile" is an installation that includes sculptures and their wooden moving crates.

This installation is produced in Brazil (Sao Paulo) where I live and work since 2011 and it was moved to Basel for the group exhibition "Le mal de vivre"

The work is about challenges, leaving behind memories and unidentified emotions. The beauty and distress that comes with constantly moving to other countries.

A collection of unfinished fragments and unnecessary things from the past , mingling up with new impressions and experiences.

Creating new stories, a repetitive process that leads to "away feels again like arriving".

The sculptures are made of resine and marble, calcite and ceramics.

The crates were actually used to transport the sculptures and are an integral part of the story telling.

"Fragile" ist eine Installation, die Skulpturen und ihre Umzugskisten aus Holz beinhaltet.
Die Installation wurde in Brasilien (Sao Paulo) produziert - wo ich seit 2011 lebe und arbeite - und für die Ausstellung Le Mal de Vivre nach Basel transportiert.

Das Werk handelt von Herausforderungen, Erinnerungen zurückzulassen und von nicht identifizierbaren Emotionen. Also von der Schönheit, aber auch vom Kummer, die mit ständigen Umzügen in neue Länder einhergeht.

Eine Sammlung unvollendeter Fragmenten und unnötiger Gegenständen der Vergangenheit vermischt sich mit neuen Impressionen und Erfahrungen. Neue Geschichten entstehen in einem repetitiven Prozess: Die Ferne fühlt sich wie eine neue Ankunft an.

Die Skulpturen sind aus Resine, Marmor, Calcit und Keramik gefertigt.
Die Kisten wurden tatsächlich zum Transport der Skulpturen verwendet und sind ein integraler Bestandteil der erzählten Geschichten.
